You may ask, what if my goals change overtime? No problem at all. We can revisit your social strategy at any time. After all, we are working hard to meet your needs and help lighten your load some by taking on the social media beast.

To get started, we wanted to share with you a few of the top social media platforms out there. A few pros and some cons! Enjoy!

Facebook has been around forever and there’s a reason for that. This platform has over 2.5 billion monthly users making it the most popular social media platform in the world. Companies use this platform to update their customers via photos, videos and text. By doing so, you can quickly and easily engage with your customers.

Facebook is also a great place for advertising with many specific targeting options. In fact, in 2019, Facebook held over 80% of the U.S. social referral shares to ecommerce sites. While advertising can become a bit expensive, you can check in and connect with your customers for free by posting, commenting, and keeping your customer base informed of business updates and changes.

This next platform, Instagram, is very similar to Facebook [since they’re owned by the same company]. You can share photos, videos, and temporary updates using the story feature to share information to its one billion users. Advertising options with Instagram are just as good as Facebook with the ability to create your own target audience based on user preferences. With Instagram, creating a consistent posting schedule and engaging content that is on point with your brand is key to using this platform successfully.

Keep in mind that the majority of Instagram’s users are 25 or younger–so this platform isn’t right for every business depending on your target market.

Youtube is a popular video-sharing medium and the second largest search engine in the world  [after Google]. Potential consumers are viewing over a billion hours of videos each day–and your company could be some of that content. Begin by creating a channel and then upload your content to your channel. Content like product reviews, DIY tutorials, recipe how-to’s, etc, do particularly well on YouTube.

After you make and post your video to your YouTube Channel, not only will it come up in a Google search but you also have the ability to share it on other platforms you’re using. When your audience is knowledge hungry, YouTube is a great place to start!
